NWA Rampage Pro Wrestling Taping Results from May 15h 2011
By Daniel Lumm on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at 9:53pm
6-Way MatchAnthony Andrews vs Blaine Rage vs Gabriel Xavior vs "Marvelous" Michael Stevens vs Tigre Guerrero vs Drew Adler.
The match itself was off to a confusing start. It seemed like it would be 2 legal men and the rest would wait in the corners for a tag, but half the time no tags were made and the ones who entered were still counted as legal men. Newcomers to the RPW Roster include Gabriel Xavior and Tigre Guerrero. and both performed very well in their debut match for NWA Rampage Pro Wrestling. Both are Cruiserweight competitors and showed some very good ability in technical wrestling. In the end it was Tigre Guerrero who won by pinning Xavior .
Tigre Guerrero pins Gabriel Xavior at 8:45
Singles MatchBobby Moore vs Aaron Epic
Moore came into this as an obvious heel but Epic really didn't receive much support from the crowd.
Bobby Moore pins Aaron Epic at 5:26

Bull Buchanon took time to talk about how he respected J-Rod for giving him enough title shots to prove he wouldn't hide behind controversial rulings, and that he would give J-Rod the first call on getting a title shot. Rob Adonis came out and told Bull that he's always ready for a title shot and that any time Bull needs an opponent, he'd be there. Bull went on to say that Adonis has been the one guy to get on his nerves and that he'd be willing to take Adonis on at any time, but made it clear that J-Rod is first.
.
Charlie Cash went on to hold a funeral for Doc Gayton's career. Participants in this were Anthony Andrews (who Cash kept referring to as Anderson), Sal Rinauro, Rob Adonis, Bobby Moore, Shaun Banks, and Cru Jones. Most of them were given a chance to talk but "couldn't muster the words" and particularly Shaun Banks had to kneel next to Doc's picture and weep. Adonis went on to talk about how Doc kicked him out of RPW while he wasn't even in attendance and his feud with Doc from then on. After the "mourning" they all ended up dancing around the rink with party poppers.

Tag Team Match - Qualifying Match in NWA RPW Tag Team Title Tournament
Hot Like Lava (Shaun Banks, Cru Jones) vs Caled Konley & Cedric Alexander
Konley and Alexander put up a good fight, but Banks and Jones have been developing their skills as a Tag Team intensely over the past couple of months. Hot Like Lava's win in this match puts them one step closer to getting the NWA RPW Tag Team Titles.
Cru Jones pins Konley at 11:48
.
8-Man Tag Team Matchup
Jimmy Rave Approved (Jimmy Rave, Corey Hollis, Chip Day, Sal Rinauro) vs The Dark City Fight Club (Jon Davis, Kory Chavis) & The Usual Suspects (Murder One, AJ Steele)
The crowd had planned on seeing Mike Posey being on the team of Jimmy Rave instead of Sal, but he wasn't in attendance for the event so Sal took his spot. For the first half of the match the Suspects and Fight Club were destroying their opponents one by one and seemed to be turning it into more of a game than a match. The tide turned in short bursts in favor of Jimmy Rave Approved. This match was one-sided for the most part, as both the current NWA World Tag Team Champions and the current ones were teaming together. In the end it was Murder One who ended the match by pinning Corey Hollis.
Murder One pins Corey Hollis at 15:27

Tag Team Match - Qualifying Match in NWA RPW Tag Team Title Tournament
Jeremy Vain & Sal Rinauro vs the Rampage Wrecking Crew (Kyle Matthews, Frankie Valentine)
Coming out from Memorial Mayhem, both Matthews and Valentine came up short in their matches against Jimmy Rave and Jeremy Vain. With Sal Rinauro turning his back on Kyle Matthews and Jeremy Vain stealing yet another win from Valentine, it was good for the fans to see the Wrecking Crew together again to take on both opponents together. Somers had accompanied Vain and Rinauro to the ring and got involved by attacking Valentine quite a bit while the referee wasn't looking, but in the end the Wrecking Crew showed that they still had great tag team ability, and they have progressed in the Tag Team Tournament with Hot Like Lava.
Frankie Valentine pins Sal Rinauro at 12:55

Singles Match - Qualifying Match in NWA North American Title Tournament
Corey Hollis vs J-Rod
Corey Hollis is probably more known throughout the region and has held titles in other promotions as well as being the runner up for PWI's Rookie of the Year in 2010. J-Rod is the currently the only Triple Crown Winner and the only all around champion (as he is the only one to have won both the debunked Cruiserweight and Intercontinental Titles in RPW). They were selected to represent NWA Rampage Pro Wrestling in the NWA North American Title Tournament and rightfully so. J-Rod had taken advantage of the match for a good time, but Jimmy Rave ended up making his way out to the ring with intentions of attacking J-Rod, but this plan back fired. J-Rod got to Rave and ended up making a fool out of him. In the end though Chip Day got in past the referee's line of sight and delivered a strong kick to J-Rod, giving Hollis the victory.
Corey Hollis pins J-Rod at 7:43

Tag Team Match - For the NWA World Tag Team Titles
Dark City Fight Club (Jon Davis, Kory Chavis) vs The Usual Suspects (Murder One, AJ Steele)
Unlike the past few matches between these two phenomenal teams, this one started really intense between the teams. Fight Club brought the fight to the Suspects before they even made it into the ring. Fight Club ended up pulling some dirtier tricks than what the crowd was used to from their other matches in NWA RPW's ring, much like the tricks commonly used by Hot Like Lava. In the end, Hot Like Lava got involved again and distracted AJ Steele long enough for Fight Club to take control of the ring and catch Murder One alone. Dark City Fight Club took some time after the match to talk about how they won the titles back the same way they lost them, and that titles aside nobody has been able to push them to their limit like the Usual Suspects. Interestingly enough, after most of the fans had left there were a select few who remained behind chanting that they wanted to see the Fight Club again and they did actually come out and take some pictures. It seems this may be the last time in a long while that we see the Dark City Fight Club in RPW's ring, but I'm sure most of the fans hope this isn't true.
