APW at the Royston Gym in Royston, Ga (on Cherry Street) drew a steaming hot crowd of 75 Friday night. Their most vocal to date, and the 2nd largest crowd the company has had in its breif history.
Rob Adonis was introduced and was accompanied to the ring by one of his students, Justin Dirt. Adonis made himself out to be the best wrestling trainer since Verne Gagne. He had lined up a exhibition match for Dirt in young Wesley Grissom. Huge pop for Grissom. Grissom pulled off the upset pinning Adonis' student. Adonis congratulated Grissom and offered to point out a few mistakes made during the match. Adonis uses every dirty trick in the book to dismantle the much smaller Grissom before pinning him.
Adrian Hawkins and Randall Johnson defeated JT Talent and Chris Blade after talent walked out on Blade who was reaching for the tag.
Ruben James pinned Slim J when JT Talent rolled Slim's inside cradle to land James on top. James is a really talented kid that I'm sure you will become more familiar with as time goes on. He held his own matched up with Slim J in what was my vote for match of the night.
APW Heavyweight Champion Simon Sermon entered the Ring claiming to have had defeated all signifigant challengers to his title (holding severely tainted wins over Shadow Jackson & Truitt Fields as of late). He announces that he has lined up a "liesure match" that turns out to be Sermon and Don Matthews against Superstar Aaron Lee and Sly Storm. Sermon who was dressed in street clothes never even tagged in...until Matthews had destroyed the two young lads. Simon then put down the Friday edition of the Atlanta Journal Constitution, and requested to pin their opponents. Matthews obliged.
The Hustle Squad(Mike Pittman & Nick Halen) defeated Sex & Money. The celebration was ended quickly when The Friday Night Franchise (Ryan Michaels & Matt Sells) hit the ring with chairs blindsiding both Nick & Mike. The Franchise stated "This is how things are gonna go around here until we start get title shots. We will be watching the main event tonight, and whoever wins will be dealing with us in the very near future!"
Abomination was disqualified, after shoving referee Randy Ray to the mat, in his Southern States Championship match with Austin Creed.
New APW Tag Team Champions were crowned as Billy Buck and Chris King finally knocked off Brandon Pheonix and Jeremy Vain.
Notes:
NWA ANARCHY Owner Jerry Palmer & Shadow Jackson were backstage. Shadow was still recovering from the brutal dog collar match with Mikki Free at Hostile Environment.
This Week (7-6-07)you will see the new APW Tag Team Champions Billy Buck and Chris King in their first title defense.
In a special challenge match Truitt Fields will take on Abomination.
APW Southern States Champion Austin Creed will defend against
JT Talent.
Just Added...Rob Adonis vs. Slim J
APW Heavyweight Champion Simon Sermon promises to deliver a big announcement.
And so does APW owner Jericho Stone!
APW EACH AND EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT AT THE ROYSTON GYM...RIGHT BEHIND ROYSTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!
